Good times at Flatstock 20
Austin, SXSW, and flatstock 20 were great this year, we printed 3 prints on site, all featuring the work of Austin based artists. the first was a beautiful 4/c Liz Taylor print by artist Billy Perkins. A 2 color print by another good friend, Jared Connor of Mexican Chocolate Design featured white with glow in the dark powder, and a moonburst in gunmetal pearl on black paper. Bobby Dixon of Kollective Fusion, well known for his unique hiphop and street influenced art, contributed a 3 color work that was a tribute to graffiti artists everywhere.
If you are a rock poster/music lover, make sure to make it to the next few Flatstocks. In July as part of the Pitchfork Music Festival, on labor day in Seattle at Bumbershoot (Squeegeeville will be there printing and drinking beer and making rude comments!) and in europe in Sept. at the Reeperbahn Music Festival in Hamburg, Germany.
