No time like the present to get started Screenprinting, and summer is the perfect time to visit Vancouver Island.

Our June course is now full, but we have space available in July, Aug, and Sept.

We are always looking for opportunities to travel and spread the word – have you got a studio situation where we could set up a course in your location? Contact us to find out how easy it is, and some of the advantages, which include improving your equipment and efficiencies, supporting local screenprinting interest and community, and offering courses at considerable savings over travelling to the Island.

Many studios we have visited have gone on to set up their own successful training workshops, including Blackswan in Houston and Serigraphie Bourgoisie in Montreal.

My editor over at Screenprinting magazine passed away at age 42 – way too young. He leaves behind a wife and 3 kids, and a big set of shoes to fill. He was very encouraging to me through the years, and helped me a lot with my writing. He was a champion of screenprinting in an increasingly pro-digital world.

His dad was an editor there back in the 80’s and I learned so much from that magazine when I was starting out. With Tom’s encouragement I became a columnist and occasional feature writer, so it was pretty cool to come full circle when he offered my a column entitled Shop Talk, and pretty well gave me carte blanche to write on any subject I wanted, although it was supposed to tackle production problems for ‘the little guy’.

On behalf of the Squeegeeville ‘family’ we offer our condolences to the family. A trust fund has been set up for his kids, if anyone would like to contribute, go to www.screenweb.com and find the info.

We’ll miss you Tom.
