Hey Andy, still moving forward but having problems with my squeegee and it has brought me to a stop, I do have a squeegee sharpener now which will be a great help. The only squeegee holder I can get for the old press I have is a wooden one, which is some of the problem I believe. The problem is keeping the print edge of the squeegee rubber straight. I have two old squeegees’ (26” and 34”) with new rubber and a new one (25”) bought with rubber installed in it from factory. I have changed to through bolts with locking nuts on the smaller ones. I noticed that on the old holders the recessed area where the rubber goes into is 13/16” on the older ones and on the new the recessed area is 5/8”. What is that measurement supposed to be because the difference of 3/16” makes a big difference in the flexibility of the squeegee? I’m using 70 durometer as TW recommends. I have someone going to make me some new holders out of Spanish cypress wood so I want that dimension correct. As always you’re an asset to the screen print community and any thoughts or suggestions are greatly appreciated!
